NAVARRO CHAVEZ, José César Lenin; VENEGAS-MARTINEZ, Francisco y ZAMORA TORRES, América Ivonne. Migración y desarrollo económico en México: un análisis factorial de correspondencias. Migr. desarro [online]. 2014, vol.12, n.22, pp.123-145. ISSN 1870-7599.
This paper analyzes the phenomenon of migration in Mexico by state and its interrelation with the levels of economic development in 2009. To do this, the Correspondence Factor Analysis (CFA) is used for examining the correlation between states, migration, economic development, and 3×1 programs. Empirical evidence shows that the states with higher levels of development are Distrito Federal, Nuevo León, Querétaro, and Jalisco, while the lowest development is found in Chiapas, Guerrero and Oaxaca. Also Jalisco, Estado de Mexico, Michoacán, Guanajuato, and Distrito Federal stand out with the highest migration, while Campeche, Tlaxcala, Baja California Sur, Yucatán, and Tabasco display the lowest migratory influence.
