The incidence of pigmentary disorders in Mexican birds has been poorly documented. We report an individual of White-winged dove (Zenaida asiatica) with atypical pigmentation in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. Some possible physical factors that can produce this pigmentary abnormality are discussed.
