URBINA-TORRES, Fernando. Noteworthy records of birds from Morelos, Mexico. Huitzil [online]. 2016, vol.17, n.1, pp.163-174. ISSN 1870-7459.

We give new and additional information about 15 species of the avifauna of Morelos: 13 native and 2 non-native species. The updated total inventory of the avifauna of Morelos includes 412 native species and 12 non-native. I recorded eight species in terrestrial environments and seven in aquatic environments. Four are considered resident or its seasonality is uncertain and 11 were occasional migrants or accidental. One species is endemic to Mexico, another is semiendemic of Mexico, and five are considered at risk based on national and international criteria.

Keywords : new records; native; non-native; endemic; threatened species.
