Abstract

ACOSTA-RAMIREZ, Alfredo  and  PINEDA-LOPEZ, Rubén. Record of the Aztec Thrush (Ridgwayia pinicola) in the state of Queretaro, Mexico. Huitzil [online]. 2016, vol.17, n.1, pp.160-162. ISSN 1870-7459.

We report the first formal record of the Aztec Thrush (Ridgwayia pinicola) for the state of Queretaro, Mexico, on an oak-pine forest west of the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve. This report is one of the few recordes in the Sierra Madre Oriental, all of which confirm that it is a resident species in the area but with a low abundance.

Keywords : avifaunas; distributional range expansion; Sierra Gorda.
