Abstract

The King Vulture (Sarcoramphus papa) is an uncommon or rare species in Mexico; now considered endangered within the country. On 9th August 2012 we observed an adult individual in a disturbed ecosystem in the ejido Jerusalen, municipality of Las Margaritas, Chiapas (16°11'01.5"N, 91°22'11.9"W). This record site is located in the environmental limits of the species in Chiapas.
