Abstract

CARBO-RAMIREZ, Pilar  and  ZURIA, Iriana. A record of the Kentucky Warbler (Geothlypis formosa) in Hidalgo, Mexico: confirmation of its presence in the state and range extension. Huitzil [online]. 2012, vol.13, n.1, pp.83-86. ISSN 1870-7459.

We captured an adult individual of the Kentucky Warbler (Geothlypis formosa) in Parque Ecológico Cubitos, in the metropolitan area of Pachuca, in the state of Hidalgo on June 09, 2010. We document our finding with pictures and confirm its presence in the state of Hidalgo, suggesting a range extension, and that individuals might migrate at higher altitudes and use scrub forest in the winter.
