We report the first record of Cacicus melanicterus in Tabasco state, Mexico. Two males and two females, and one male and one female were observed on April 8^th, 2007, and March 27^th, 2011, respectively, in the locality of Malpasito (17°20'40"N, 93°35'26"W), at the south of Huimanguillo municipality.
