The relationship between Mexico and Italy is in general a poorly explored issue. What this work proposes is, from a political perspective, the historical reconstruction of the relationship between the two countries, during the "callista" period in Mexico and its fascist counterpart in Italy. The purpose is to show the nature of this diplomatic relationship, as well as expose some of the business contacts and those between the individuals and the States. However, particular emphasis is put on the kind and intensity of the interests that the Mexican government had in Italian fascism. The study is based not only on formal diplomatic exchanges, but it also considers the testimonies of Mexican politicians and military reports. Indirectly, the article represents a contribution in clarifying the possible influence fascism could have had on Mexican political regimes during the given period.
