Related to the annual income which measures the skill levels associated with the years of study (we know this is not the only variable though this study only considers this) that Mexican migrants have in comparison to Central American and Caribbean. The average yearly perception of migrant's income is below $ 49 000 dollars. In the case of Mexican migrants, about 60 percent has elementary and middle school studies. For those of Central America and the Caribbean 38.5 percent, there is also a migrant population with higher education and graduate studies. Their undocumented status in both cases explains the similarity in income despite the variation in education levels.
