Abstract

RODRIGUEZ ARANA, Alejandro. La curva de Phillips en México: ¿Existe una relación de largo plazo entre la inflación y la brecha del producto?. EconoQuantum [online]. 2012, vol.9, n.1, pp.57-81. ISSN 2007-9869.

This paper estimates a Phillips curve for Mexico, which emerges from a price setting scheme where buyers and sellers establish a long run relationship (Rotemberg (1982)). The annual estimation between 1969 and 2008 shows a long run relation where inflation depends positively upon the real wage, the real exchange rate and the output gap. Results show that there should be high permanent increases in inflation to barely obtain small improvements in the other variables, nonetheless.

Keywords : inflación; curva de Phillips; brecha del producto.
