This text aims to expand the information about the work of the Fundación Haciendas del Mundo Maya, a nonprofit organization based in the Yucatan Peninsula. The foundation is part of the CSR strategy of a Mexican business group, owner of Las Haciendas, a chain of five hotels in Yucatan and Campeche. The principles and approach of the project of Las Haciendas are described with the initial socioeconomic scenario where the project was inserted. Subsequently recounts in detail the strategy of social responsibility of the corporate group through the work of the foundation and locate within this strategy the artisan's workshops project, narrating its evolution and stating its scope.
