Union transparency and accountability has been an important topic in regards to the 2012 labor reform, as well as, on transparency issues, the constitutional reform in 2014. Both reforms established new transparency obligations to the unions not only on internal matters but also on exterior ones, with special attention to article 6 in the Constitution where they become legal subjects on transparency and information rendition at the moment of receiving public funds. Such matters are to be approached delicately as other rights such as union freedom and autonomy must not be tarnished.
