The present article analyzes how, at present, even though we can speak about diverse forms of practicing a responsible paternity; the juridical laws which give benefits and guard paternity rights are still in great disadvantage in comparison to maternity rights granted to women in this field. This is the central theme of this articles analysis: paternity and gender equality, from masculine perspective. For this matter not only social laws such as labor and social security are analyzed; but also civil laws, such as legislations that regulate family relations, to manifest that a marked difference exists between rights granted to fathers and mothers.
