From the last decade of the twentieth century the member countries of the European Union agreed to intensify cooperation for modernizing and improving social protection, with the claim that the economic and social development are parallel. Then arises, in Denmark, the concept of Flexisecurity, as a legal political neologism used to identify public policies aimed at achieving business success in the labor market adjustment to current economic demands, which conglomerates fordist and flexible models, so the this article deals with the origin, constituent elements, principles, characteristics and components of that term, and work patterns that are its immediate background.
