American International Law, in particular Human Rights instruments, refers to certain rights of individuals in relation to nationality. This article examines these rights from the perspective of the precedents of the Inter-American Court and the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights. It also mentions other instruments, from the universal level, that are in force in the American states.
