This article extracts from the casuistry of the European Court of Human Rights empirical and theoretical elements for a broad view of the doctrine of the Court on the disclosure of journalistic sources and of the factual and legal contexts in the light of which the Strasbourg Court has established and perfected its line of thinking about this controversy to contribute to the scientific study of matter and the resolution of specific cases within the legal practice.
