Criminal responsibility in International Criminal Law forms part of the fight against impunity for international crimes by seeking the prosecution and punishment of the criminals who are at the head of the criminal enterprise. Therefore, said responsibility is guided by a number of general principles of Criminal Law and International Law that have evolved through international case law. The present herein shows the evolution and current status of this subject as part of the Rome Statute.
