In the context of the ratification process of the Nairobi Convention of May 2007, the article aims to presenting an approach as to the evolution of the international legal regime on wreck removals. It further considers the Mexican regime on the subject, as well as the actions conducted by the federal government in order to solve the problem of grounded, sank and semi-sank vessels.
