The social imaginary has become a method of study of the image that establishes relationships between form and significance in search of the meaning, purpose and intention of the form represented by a group of individuals. That is why it is used as a methodological tool for creating a model that helps us to study some images that allude to Mexicanness. In this article "Mexicanness" is understood as a set of practices and architectural representations made and shared by the colony of foreign tourists established in a small city in northwestern Mexico.
