The aim of this article is to identify behaviors around sexual harassment and other forms of violence against women workers in the maquiladora industry of Sonora and Baja California. The research was conducted using qualitative tools, such as semi-structured interviews and focus groups, and carried out during 2012 with 31 maquiladora workers in the states mentioned. The results identify several types of violence against women in the work environment of the plants, which were indicated by the participants: psychological, physical, economic, sexual, verbal and symbolic violence. There was an association between expressions of different forms of labor violence and sexual harassment and the work organization and structure in the maquiladora industry, which is key to understanding the subordination and devaluation of women's work in this sector.
