The aim of this study is to analyze the involvement of Sinaloan emigrants in the labor markets of their destination communities, as well as the implications of gender and immigration status on the type of employment and wages available to migrants. We compared the characteristics of migrant women and men from Sinaloa to women from Sonora living in Phoenix, Arizona. This research is based on the 2007 Mexican Household Survey carried out in Phoenix, Arizona.
