Abstract
LEON BALDERRAMA, Jorge Inés; SANDOVAL GODOY, Sergio A. and LOPEZ LEYVA, Santos. Vinculación y transferencia de conocimiento de los investigadores de Sonora: un enfoque basado en la importancia de los factores individuales. Región y sociedad [online]. 2009, vol.21, n.45, pp.65-96. ISSN 2448-4849.
This article contributes information on participation levels of researchers in Sonora to outreach activities and scientific and technological knowledge exchange. It also identifies the roles that personal and professional factors play in such activities. 13 7 people in research and postgraduate institutions in Sonora were surveyed regarding their personal and professional characteristics, as well as about their different outreach and exchange. The researchers' participation levels were observed, as well as factors that facilitate or inhibit their participation in activities outside their institution. Some of the results indicate that funding is one of the most influential factors on academic pursuits, as well as others such as gender, age, and employment status. However, academic degree, alma mater, membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores [National Researchers System] and number of publications do not make a significant difference.
