Abstract

DAUTREY, Philippe. Microempresas del sector formal de comercio en Cuernavaca, Morelos, y contratación del capital humano (2000-2006): El aprovechamiento del régimen del riesgo. Región y sociedad [online]. 2009, vol.21, n.44, pp.91-116. ISSN 2448-4849.

This article focuses on the current level of education at which small companies within the formal commerce sector, the most dynamic in the urban area of Cuernavaca, capital of the Mexican state of Morelos, hire human capital. New hiring practices can be accounted for by the changing environment, the switch to free trade and the increasing use of new technologies in particular. However, do trade competition and new technologies alone account for them? The expansion of the global system of risks, i.e. growing job uncertainty and unemployment, also gives small companies an incentive to hire workers who are immediately "employable" and outsource part of its continuous education, limiting it to certain categories of employees.

Keywords : Cuernavaca; small companies; formal commerce sector; human capital; hiring; continuous education; global system of risks.
