This work shows an input-output model that tries to analyze the roll of the energy sector in the state of Nuevo Leon economy. The objective is quantifying the overflow effect in the state economy, caused by the negative impact that the rise of prices of energy products, natural gas, and electricity can produce over some productive sectors. an exogenous increment of prices of energy products attempts against the continuity process of economic growth in Nuevo Leon, since the state has an energy profile which consumption rate is bigger that the national average, and the economic and industrial growth have been unavoidable translated into an increment in the consumption of such energy products.
