This article aims to systematize the process of candidate selection under the assumption that is possible to evaluate their democratic consecuenses in the political party and evaluate their evolution. The proposal was made from an analytical model of wich qualitative and quantitative formulation is based on a matrix that sets a primary index with classification criterias, comments and categories of the processes. The organization of information in the matrix analyzes the selection of candidates as the dependent variable from the determinants of selectorate, nomination, descentralizarion and selection form as independent variables. Standardizing of the information allows made comparisons between processes, between parties and between criteria. This proposal was based the model's application in the case of Ciudad Juárez bounded in the primary of Presidencia Municipal in 2001/2002-2004 to 2007 process in the three main political forces.
