Abstract

FLORES-MARISCAL, Juan Roberto Joel. The Institutionalization of Political Science in Canada: A Brief Comparative Exploration as Seen from Mexico. Norteamérica [online]. 2021, vol.16, n.2, pp.121-147.  Epub Apr 04, 2022. ISSN 2448-7228.  https://doi.org/10.22201/cisan.24487228e.2021.2.353.

Based on a review of the meta-disciplinary literature, the author explores the history and describes certain contextual factors and the influence of the U.S. tradition in the creation of the contemporary profile of political science in Canada. He does this from the point of view of the Mexican political science tradition and history, which he considers had certain parallels in its development, particularly regarding the influence of the U.S. tradition.
