The last larval instar of Phyllopetalia apicalis (Selys, 1858) is described. Based on male and female specimens reared until emergence under laboratory conditions; the specimens were collected in the Andes mountains range of Central Chile. The morphological study has been made with optical microscopy and SEM. Additionally, a regional taxonomic key adaptation is proposed.
