Resumen

VILLARRUEL-ORDAZ, José Luis et al. Tropical dry forest macromycetes in the coastal region of Oaxaca, Mexico. Rev. Mex. Biodiv. [online]. 2021, vol.92, e923733.  Epub 03-Feb-2022. ISSN 2007-8706.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ib.20078706e.2021.92.3733.

A taxonomic review of 225 specimens of macromycetes collected in a tropical dry forest in the coastal region of Oaxaca was carried out. We recognized 160 morphospecies of which 57 were taxonomically determined at species level; 35 are new records for Oaxaca coastal region, 28 of them are new records for the state of Oaxaca and 8 are registered for the first time for Mexico (Calocybe carnea, C. gambosa, Marasmius congregatus, Gymnopus gibbosus, Phlebopus beniensis, Foraminispora rugosa, Ganoderma martinicense, and Crassisporus microsporus). There was a predominance of species of Basidiomycota over Ascomycota. The Agaricales was the order best represented, being Lepiota and Marasmius the most abundant genera. Thirty three genetic barcodes were obtained from 40 specimens collected during 2018 and 2019. Based on the species accumulation analysis, it was determined that we know around 6% more than the estimated macromycetes diversity in the study area.
