SANCHEZ, Laura C.; ALONSO, Julián M.  e  MANZANO, Adriana S.. Characterization of the anuran communities of the Santa Fe Islands National Park, Argentina. Rev. Mex. Biodiv. [online]. 2020, vol.91, e913221.  Epub 22-Dez-2020. ISSN 2007-8706.  https://doi.org/10.22201/ib.20078706e.2020.91.3221.

The aim of this work was to characterize the anuran communities of the Santa Fe Islands National Park. There were 9 campaigns from September 2018 to March 2019 and 3 collecting methods were used: pitfall traps, surveys for tadpoles, and active nocturnal searches. Sample efficiency was analyzed by means of species accumulation curves using 4 estimators: ACE, ICE, Jackknife 1 and Chao 2. To determine the model of species abundance distribution, goodness-of-fit tests χ² were performed. The richness, true diversity and the evenness of the communities were calculated. There were 14 species of anurans recorded, 9 of which constitute new records for the park. Sampling efficiency exceeded 94% in all estimators. The most abundant species were: Leptodactylus latrans, Elachistocleis bicolor, Dendropsophus nanus, Boana punctata, Boana pulchella and Lysapsus limellum. The data was fitted to the normal logarithmic distribution model. The total true diversity was D = 7.94 while evenness was J = 0.79. The true diversity found was lower than what was recorded in Pre-Delta National Park, a temperate wetland of similar characteristics. These contributions are useful to start action plans for the conservation of amphibians in the area.

Palavras-chave : Richness; Taxonomic composition; Distribution of abundances; True diversity; Evenness; Conservation of amphibians.
