Abstract

NICOLALDE-MOREJON, Fernando  and  AVENDANO, Sergio. Lectotypification of Ceratozamia mixeorum (Zamiaceae). Rev. Mex. Biodiv. [online]. 2011, vol.82, n.3, pp.1032-1033. ISSN 2007-8706.

Ceratozamia mixeorum was described in 1997 from the Sierra Mixe in the state of Oaxaca, a region from which this species is endemic. However, certain errors made at the time of holotype and isotypes designation were detected. On this basis, in accordance with the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature, the lectotypification of the species is presented here, designating as lectotype a specimen deposited in the XAL herbarium, which was designated as an isotype by the authors of the species name.

Keywords : Ceratozamia; Lectotypification; Mexico; Zamiaceae.
