Abstract

One hundred and fourteen species of Agaricales from Sonora were determined. One hundred and four of these are new records of Sonoran mycobiota. Sixteen families were identified, with the higher number of taxa for Pluteaceae (26), Cortinariaceae (17), and Russulaceae (12), in the following types of vegetation: pine-oak forest (54), oak forest (46) and tropical deciduous forest (16). The genus Amanita was the best represented with 22 taxa,including edible, mycorrhizic and toxic species. Amanita daucipes and Entoloma byssisedum are registered for the second time from Mexico.
