PEREZ AMOROS, Francisco. Workers’ Rights to Digital Disconnection: Mail on holiday. Rev. IUS [online]. 2020, vol.14, n.45, pp.257-275. Epub 16-Sep-2020. ISSN 1870-2147.
The right of workers to digital disconnection on off working days was recognized in 2018, which entitles workers not to respond to work communications that are received outside working hours. This acknowledgment has raised positive comments, but also some criticisms due to its ambiguity. The legal disconnection -in the digital context- aims to avoid undue extensions of the working day that otherwise may undermine rest, work-life balance, health, and intimacy (fundamental rights).
