The crime reaches unsuspected levels in the American continent and the channels proposed at present don't satisfy the vast majority of citizens that lives in this region; therefore, the search for solutions to conflicts caused by this phenomenon will continue being a constant task. This article examines this problem from the sociopolitical and juridical projections of Criminal Law and Criminology.
