Resumen
RAMIREZ COLINA, Sulmer Paola. The freedom of speech of the employee in Facebook and the employer's authority. Rev. IUS [online]. 2013, vol.7, n.31, pp.48-66. ISSN 1870-2147.
The Information and Communication Technologies have revolutionized communication among human beings, allowing the information exchange with more people at the same time, as it is in Facebook, a social network on Internet where, given the physical absence of its members, "privacy" is created, allowing words to flow at the speed of typing. The employee exercises his fundamental rights including freedom of speech. Therefore, he can publish aspects of the private sphere or related with other people, including his employment and employer, what implies new legal conflicts based on the weighting between worker's right to freedom of speech and employer's right to ius variandi and freedom of company.
