Abstract

ALONSO, Enrique. What logic does a philosopher need to know?. Andamios [online]. 2019, vol.16, n.41, pp.143-163.  Epub May 20, 2020. ISSN 2594-1917.  https://doi.org/10.29092/uacm.v16i41.719.

In this paper we analyze the way in which we have conceived up to now the teaching in logic for students of the philosophy degrees. We evaluate in a critical way the results obtained to date. We ended up elaborating an alternative proposal that radically reformulates our teaching and disciplinary objectives in order to find a better adjustment of the value of contemporary formal logic in the discipline of philosophy.

Keywords : Logic for philosophers; teaching of logic; philosophy of logic; history of logic; metalogic.
