Recent city studies has focused on the relationship processes between the city and sociability in ways that pay attention to issues such as the imaginary and experience. The proliferation of research on each topic varies, and despite their importance to understand the social in the city, there are no contributions that relate them explicitly. In this sense, the present article proposes to explore the notions of experience and the imaginary that combined can support the construction of other views on the city and the phenomena that occur in it.
