Abstract

ARACH, Omar  and  RABINOVICH, Silvana. Does everything sacred vanish in the air? About the teological-political in the resistance to mega-extractivism. Andamios [online]. 2018, vol.15, n.37, pp.75-91. ISSN 2594-1917.

In this article, we present some reflections about actualization of the sacred into resistance process against mega-extractivist expansion that several community based social movements are carrying forward in our continent. Gudynas analyze mega-extractivist expansion as an Extractivism Theology. We aim to approach the role of the sacred in the resistances as a political-theological process that subvert the Political Theology. We hope this perspective may contribute to understand this trait of resistances as an active principle of radical alterity that offer critical instruments to analyze our civilization crisis.

Keywords : Political Theology; mega-extractivism; resistances; the sacred.
