Abstract

RODRIGUEZ MORA, Tania. "Lay" is not the Same as "Lie": Political Discourse and Gender Representations in the New Mexican Democracy. Andamios [online]. 2005, vol.2, n.3, pp.51-75. ISSN 2594-1917.

The author reflects about the persistence of sexism in political discourse and practices on contemporary Mexican politics. Analyzes three speeches where we can observe sexism in the discourse of Mexican politicians from the "new Mexican democracy". It is a review from the feminist theory and the critical analysis of discourse.
