In this interview, made the 3 of June of 2004 in the City of Mexico, during the visit that the philosopher and political analyst Brazilian Emir Sader did to our country on occasion of Latin the America in Movement Seminary, organized that month by the Institute of Economic Investigations of the UNAM, we talked about the rol of social sciences and the universities in the current Latin American context. We discussed the possibility of a critical knowledge opening a breach in the "fight for the hegemony" in the current historical-cultural moment. In this sense, we wanted to discuss with him the prospects of alternative projects in education and the impact and responsibilities entailed in making social science
