This article proposes different political economy instruments for dealing with sustained economic growth, instruments that have been lost because of the dominance of economic liberalization and monetary-exchange rate policies in the vast majority of the developing economies. These policies aim to create conditions of trust and profitability for finance capital at the cost of spawning recessions and de-capitalization in production and increasing our economies' external vulnerability.
