ALVARADO SOLIS, Neyra Patricia. Children and heritage. The guardians in the magical town of Real de Catorce, San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Revista Col. San Luis [online]. 2019, vol.9, n.19, pp.271-293. Epub 19-Nov-2020. ISSN 2007-8846. https://doi.org/10.21696/rcsl9192019961.
In order to analyze the functioning of children's heritage in a case of heritage in coexistence with creativity and innovation, anthropological ethnography, long-term fieldwork and the examination of forms of transmission are used. Although the differences of an institutionalized heritage and the dynamism that children bring to it imply the questioning of universal definitions, this research reasserts that talking about children's heritage means their inclusion in the world here and now, as well as conceiving them as future heritage beings. Thus, children show that transmission is not only vertical in an institutional project, but also horizontal between children and between children and adults. Therefore, sensitivity is part of the interpretation, explanation and creativity that children develop in a process of heritage.
