Based on the characteristics of buildings constructed in the typological diversity of the hacienda remains in Mexico, their potential use is estimated. For this, we proceeded to a critical review of the current uses given to the aforementioned spaces through the presentation of recovery and use strategies, from the framework of Economics Applied to Culture. The specific proposition indicates, according to four dimensions: territorial cohesion, economic dimension, social cohesion and restoration. The creation of ecomuseums as an alternative experience has already been tried in Europe and Latin America.
