The aim of this article is to contribute to the discussion about a sociocultural region construction in northeastern Mexico. From the analysis of quantitative data presents a sociodemographic profile of the area including a new spatial delimitation that exceeds the political and administrative boundaries of San Luis Potosi and Nuevo Leon states. In this sense, sociocultural elements contribute to problematize the existence of a region from demographic, educational and economic data and will propose and methodological strategy that allow to visualize these spatially and interactively elements through a Geographic Information System.
