Resumen
NAVARRETE ULLOA, Carlos Alberto y DOLORES BAUTISTA, Jorge. Caciquismo en el municipio de Atlapexco: de la convulsión social a la dominación "tradicional-burocrática" en la huasteca hidalguense. Revista Col. San Luis [online]. 2014, vol.4, n.8, pp.12-37. ISSN 2007-8846.
We propose a conceptual framework that defines the patronage and clientelistic relations of domination and social factors in the Huasteca. In this regard, we offer some historical background of the regional space, and discusses empirical evidence that seeks to understand caciquismo in Atlapexco in relation to the domain of a territory consisting of lands and private property used for farming and livestock. In addition, we review the integration of agricultural and mestizo elites to armed revolution in the early twentieth century as a process that preceded the formation of cacicazgos. It seeks to understand the network of interests woven by the caciques with their clients, but especially those with bureaucracies, central state bodies and even joining the political class, by formal institutional channels.
