Abstract

MORENO HERRERA, Francy Liliana. Universalism, cosmopolitanism and publishing policies in twentieth century cultural journals. Latinoamérica [online]. 2017, n.64, pp.99-123. ISSN 2448-6914.  https://doi.org/10.22201/cialc.24486914e.2017.64.55057.

The cultural magazines Sur (Buenos Aires 1930-1970), Orígenes (La Habana 1944-1956), Ciclón (La Habana 1955-1957/1959) and Mito (Bogotá 1955-1962) were published in Latin America in the scene of the mid-twentieth Century. For the cultural tradition they are representatives of innovation through cosmopolitan policies. This paper compares the criteria of the journals and discusses the way that ideological views and different positions lead to innovative portraits of the world.
