Abstract

CUEVA PERUS, Marcos. Aspects of the Patronage Network in Latin America. Latinoamérica [online]. 2013, n.56, pp.81-104. ISSN 2448-6914.

This text describes two important aspects of the Latin American predominant mentality arisen from the Colony: the maneuver and the request of faith. The first one tries to take possession of a place and the second one is not exempt from military features. These features, which explain how a clientele works, are of estamental origin, but often they are up to today in Latin America. They constitute the nucleus of the "art of creating power" that sometimes makes to happen for a culture, although it belongs more to the uses and customs.

Keywords : Religion; War; Maneuver; Faith; Clientele.
