The present paper about Honduran theory of history is more approximate than conclusive. This article shows the mainstreams and perspectives developed in Honduras, related to history interpretation, such as the despotic, the positivist, and the Marxist, made by single thinkers or by groups that had intellectual and political projects, and considering that Honduran historiography as such is recent. That is the way that the works of three Honduras thinkers are explored: José Cecilio del Valle (1777-1834), Ramón Rosa (1848-1993) and Filánder Díaz Chávez (1922-).
