In this article, we discuss theoretical-methodological notes that we have identified as necessary in an effort to promote a line of research -in studies about both youth and space in the social sciences- focused on building a theoretical and analytical basis about how young people relate to public space. Our aim is to build more in-depth knowledge of greater analytical scope that, in turn, will be communicated to decision makers for possible translation into public policy.
