Resumen
MALDONADO-ALVARADO, Benjamín. Towards a Plural Country: Oaxaca Community Education versus the Politics of Zero Interculturality. LiminaR [online]. 2016, vol.14, n.1, pp.47-59. ISSN 2007-8900.
This article describes briefly several educational experiences that are part of the growing community education movement in the state of Oaxaca. It highlights the horizon that guides the direction of most of them. As opposed the prevailing view relating to interculturality, community education seeks to strengthen diversity, difference, and the local knowledge to move Mexico towards being an intercultural, pluralistic country. The colonial nature of the current Mexican government is evidenced by the findings of the Permanent Peoples' Tribunal, showing its vocation for repressing diversity, which contradicts its intercultural discourse.
