The following work is based on the aim of evaluating courses provided by a private university of West Mexico in non-attendance modality, in the field of human formation. Various unsuccessful attempts were held and let us with the certainty of using a tool for observation and analysis created avowedly. The selected model is proposed by Gunawardena, Lowe & Anderson (1997), based on the analysis of students interactions among several elements of the course. This qualitative approach is complemented with a quantitative approach based on the proposed by Padilla and Hernandez (2012). Once the choice was taken, it was decided to have an application that would allow us to weigh its relevance. The "pilot" test was applied to seven out of the ten courses offered in the first semester of 2015, which correspond to three different subjects. Various educational resources used by teachers were analyzed. Given the results obtained, it's considered relevant to use the model by Gunawardena, Lowe & Anderson and contributors for analyzing the interactions a student has in non-attendance or distance courses. The quantitative data obtained enriches this information.
